STEM, Pirates, and Summer Bucket List

This week students did a great job on their end of the year assessments. I will be sending them home for you to see.

In reading we have been working on a Magic Treehouse book called Pirates Past Noon. Each day we read and summarize a chapter. Students are also using the turn around strategy to answer questions.   In writing, students made pails with lists of what they want to do and see over the summer.

In science we are learning about simple machines. Working in teams of two, students planned, built, and redesigned slides using a variety of materials.
