This week during religion we have been learning about the Mass and discussing the things we see in church. On Tuesday students were asked to build an altar from various materials (Legos, popsicle sticks). Using creativity and teamwork altars were constructed that included a cross, candles, and even a priest.

In reading students are working on mini chapter books.  We continue to focus on vocabulary, sequence, inference, and character traits.

In science our standards encompass adult and baby animals, their traits, and survival adaptations.  We acted out mama and baby animals as well as moved like turtles, dogs, and ducks. Our vocabulary includes camouflage, hibernation, migration, and trait.

We are looking forward to the field trip tomorrow. A note was sent home in folders. Please wear regular uniforms and pack a disposable, nut aware lunch. We are leaving right after prayer(8:15).
