Apr 4, 2018
1 min read

This afternoon both first grade's learned a little bit about Japanese culture.  Students had the opportunity to see a map, some art, and learn a little bit about origami. I showed the students my collection of artifacts and books on Japan. The format used this afternoon was flexible centers. Students were allowed to rotate between calligraphy with Miss Boyce, bookmaking and child life with Mrs. Cunningham, flag making, maps, and Japanese color words drawing. We practiced greeting and saying goodbye in Japanese and talked a little bit about Japanese school.
