All this week we have been celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. We read many of his books including the Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, My Book About Me, and Wacky Wednesday.  Students wrote a creative story about the Cat in the Hat visiting our classroom, they made hats, and they also wrote  about their favorite Dr. Seuss book and why they like it. Students made a book cover as well as puppets.

In science we even made Cat in the Hat cup towers. What a fun stem project!

Students compared whether it was easier to build with small cups or large cups. We discussed and figured out what were the best strategies for making the tallest tower. One tower was even 48 inches tall!
