Awesome Classwork

Students have been working in centers during reading block. Word work this week is mixed short vowel word families. 

During their teacher table guided reading time we have been focusing on reading strategies and long vowels. Students also make predictions and connections before and after reading.  We continue to work on finding the answer in the text. 

In writing we are finishing a three part story about our families. Students are allowed choice of seats during writing block.

In math we are using what we know about adding, subtracting, and fact families to solve problems with missing addends and write related equations.  We have been playing fluency games with doubles and numbers up to ten.

Just a quick reminder that Thursday is picture retake day. Please send in original package if you have one. Students who are getting their photo taken may wear regular clothes.
