Science Time

The past few days during shared reading we learned about our senses. We discussed how in science we will use four of our five senses to help us learn. Today we went outside to Mary Foley Park to look, listen, feel, and smell the world around us. The first graders also practiced being awesome listeners on their best behavior for the upcoming field trip. A permission slip with all the details will hopefully go home next week. 

In writing we have been learning about narratives and what needs to be included in a good story. We played merry go round narratives and told partners our story.  Today we did a graphic organizer for our Summer Fun narrative.
