STEM Project for a Rainy Day

This week we began learning about simple machines and how they help us. We watched a short video and have a song to help us remember what simple machines do. Today students worked with a partner to design a slide using a variety of materials. We tested our slides with a Lego person and a ping pong ball. It was amazing to see the variety of designs! As we progress towards the end of the year, we will be continuing to build and design structures for our playgrounds.
