Today, Thursday, was a fun and exciting day. After lunch we got ready and went outside to Mary Foley Park with our 1B friends. Students excitedly gathered Easter eggs that were scattered around the park. Some students even found a golden egg which earned them a special prize. After collecting a dozen eggs each, we went back inside to see what was in them. MATH PROBLEMS!!! Students completed the math questions in their notebooks and received a special prize when they finished.

This week students all read a story on RAZKIDS called "Anna and the Dancing Goose." It is about a little girl, her grandmother and the story she tells. There is a special blue egg and a dancing goose. Students made Easter baskets with a fancy egg and the Jelly Bean prayer.

So after the Easter egg hunt we watched Reading Rainbow's Rechenka's Egg by Patricia Polacco. We learned many more things about the Ukranian eggs and how strong eggs are. The two stories had similarities and some differences.
