Today students in the first grade learned about cloud formation. We learned the vocabulary water vapor. Our friends from 1B came downstairs to share science time with us. Students made drawings as they observed clouds appearing in jars. After the cloud appeared students also observed rain in the jars! Next we will record the clouds we observe and learn about the different types of clouds and how they affect weather. We have been reading about weather and seasons during guided reading time. Students made a season mini-book and will soon write an opinion piece on their favorite season.
