Students have been working hard this past week. Our poem is "Five Little Pumpkins" and the students are enjoying saying it and adding hand motions. In Fundations this week we are working on tapping and writing digraph words with sh, ch, th, wh, and ck. Reading block encompasses a variety of activities including partner reading, independent reading on the ipad, and listening to books. This week's listening center was "Pumpkin Town." In guided reading groups we read stories, discuss them and practice sight and phonics words.

In Math students have been subtracting using multiple strategies. including counting on a number line, using chips or cubes, and drawing pictures and crossing out. Students began taking fluency quizzes. Currently it is addition and subtraction for numbers 0-6.

We are looking forward to Misfit Sock day and making misfit creatures. Thank you to those who have donated craft items. Please wear mismatched socks uniforms on Friday and bring in a sock filled with socks for our project.
