Today we began discussing the life cycle of an apple tree. The students listened and discussed the book Johnny Appleseed. We began reading a book called Apples that gave information about the growth and development of the trees. Tomorrow the students will be creating a life cycle diagram with labels. The math homework even had apples on it! If you have an apple at home, it would be helpful, as well a a great home:school connection, to cut it so you can see the seeds. Your child can bring the seeds to school in a ziploc.
