This week in Math we have been exploring numbers. Students built and compared stacks of cubes, made number lines, and completed number patterns counting both forward and back. We used the Smartboard to reinforce concepts and share what we were practicing.

Today in first grade we had a fun and exciting day. This morning the school had a fire drill. The students of 1A did an awesome job exiting the building and walking to the assigned spot down the street. This afternoon we joined the older students to listen to a band demonstration. First graders may sign up for violin this year. Please send the form back by Tuesday September 13th to ensure that the instrument arrives for the first lesson.
