Fun First Day!

What a fun and exciting first day of FIRST grade! It was great to meet the children and learn a little bit about their summer vacations. Everyone did such a great job listening and learning new routines today. Ask your child about the book we read: Wemberly Worried. The students wrote and drew pictures in response to the book. Later this week we will make puppets of the main character to help us retell the story. To help us learn more about each other we played a game called "Meet Me in the Middle." I am looking forward to getting to know each child better. I hope to have pictures posted soon.

Each child has a yellow take home/homework folder. Inside it is a letter from me, a reading log, and papers from the office. Please return the folder everyday. Thank you for sending in all of the supplies!
